It's Monday! Whatcha Reading? │ August 10th

I haven't read a ton since my last Monday post, but what I have read has been amazing! Here's  the lowdown! I've been pretty busy since my lat update, and the weather has been pretty fickle. I haven't read as much as I would have liked, but as I said, I've read some really great stuff.

After I finished Shopaholic Ties the Knot, I had picked Red Dragon by Thomas Harris. Unfortunately, however, it just wasn't really doing it for me. I don't know if it was the book itself or just my reading mood, but I decided to put it down. Maybe I'll pick it back up another time? I don't know. I really had OD'd on YA though, so I went with some more adult picks. First I read Chimamada Ngozi Adiche's amazing We Should All Be Feminists (5/5). So well written, so many insights. If you haven't read this short book (adapted from a speech, so, really short), you need to! From that gem I moved on to The Invisibles by Cecila Galante (5/5). I received a copy of this book for a blog tour, and boy am I glad I signed up for that one! Read my review here and win a copy (ends 8/8/15)! Next I moved on to Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng (5/5). What a beautiful story. I can't believe I waited so long to read it! It's been on my TBR since its release! So good. I then enjoyed the lovely first volume of Thor: Goddess of Thunder (5/5). Frost giants, dark elves, lady heroes...What more can you ask for? Finally, yesterday I finished The Martian (5/5) by Andy Weir! I picked this one up with some birthday money and am I glad I did. I wanted to make sure I read it before the movie comes out and now I just can't wait. COME ON OCTOBER 2ND!

All of my latest reads have been 5 stars for me on Goodreads! I highly recommend all of them.

Right now I'm currently reading two books. I'm still making my way through the audiobook of Armada by Ernest Cline. I've been listening to music in the car lately rather than the booknot sure why. So I'm still not too to far into it. However, what I have listened to I've really enjoyed! The other thing I'm reading is Deceptions by Kelley Armstrong! I received a copy of this one from Random House Canada and I am SO EXCITED. This is the third book in Armstrong's Cainsville series. I adored the first two books and I can't wait to get more into Deceptions. I've only read the first few pages but I'm loving it already! If you haven't started this series yet, it's a must. Want to know more? check out my review of the first book in the series, Omens.

One I finish these two, I have no idea what I'll feel like reading next. I'm enjoying this foray back into adult fiction so I think I will continue that for the time being. Other than that, who knows! I'll let you know next time what I picked up!

It's Monday, what are YOU reading?
