Fangirl Favourites Friday: The 100


Introducing…. Fangirl Favourites Friday!
I have noticed that a lot of us booknerds are just really passionate people. And as people, we have more interests than just one! While I love books, and they are what I am most passionate about, there are other things that I totally fangirl over. This new feature is devoted to all the things I fangirl over, whether they are books, movies, TV shows, people, video games, you name it. 

This week I have been fangirling really hard over The 100 tv series. I spent 2 days marathoning the last 6 episodes. 

Can we just take a minute and appreciate how awesome this show is? 
Shall I go on? I could, but it would take all day. 

I admit, one must often seriously suspend their disbelief while watching The 100 (seriously, the teenage daughter of a doctor does not a miracle worker make). 

But this show is just so good. The actors do an amazing job, so do the writers, and the costume designers, and just everyone. I haven’t read the books so I can’t speak to the source material, but the story is so interesting (yay book adaptations!). 

For those of you who have been living under a rock, The 100 is the story of a group of 100 teenage delinquents who have been dropped, against their will, from their space station onto the earth. Their people have been living on the space station called the Ark for the last 97 years due to an apocalyptic event on earth. These kids must determine if the earth is survivable and fend for themselves. It’s so good. It’s like Lord of the Flies meets Lost meets…futuristic sci-fi stuff. If you haven’t watched it, you seriously need to check it out. No excuses. It’s on Netflix.
