Hey guys,
Sorry I have been slack with posts! Life has been pretty busy the last few weeks. I've been working a lot, and then crafting a lot when I get home! Yesterday was my Church's craft and bake sale. I may have went a little overboard... but because that's over now perhaps I will have time to post more!
I've decided to add a new feature to the blog. Another one you might say? This one is really only sort of a feature; it's a lighter take on my reviews. This new feature is called THE GIST and will be essentially weekly short reviews. Rather than giving a full review, I will give you the gist of the book, or, a least, what I deem to be the gist. I don't know about other bloggers and reviewers, but when I review a book, the whole time I'm reading it I'm thinking about possible quotes, what I think of each aspect of the novel, etc, taking notes along the way. While I enjoy doing this and it allows for more specifics in the review, it also can sometimes feel a little bit like homework. Sometimes I just want to read a book for the pure fun of it, not analyzing it along the way! When I do this, I still have an opinion of the novel as a whole. So, for those books, I will give you a short review of my overall impression of the novel.
I will kick that off later today with Elizabeth is Missing by Emma Healey.
